The fire hydrant outside our new house was made in Iowa. Hard to believe it has been 4 years since I moved from Iowa to Washington. Lots to explore here still! I wonder what this flowering tree below is?
Red Eggs
For Easter this year, I hard boiled eggs in a homemade natural dye. Red eggs or kokkina avga, are a Greek tradition. I paired these eggs with my (slightly Greek) family's tradition of an egg bashing contest. I found the recipe for the onion skin dye here, but used shallots skins instead of onion skins.
